We actively promote the personal and professional growth of employees through education, training, and opportunities for advancement.
If you were to identify the best place in the world to grow our primary crops – potatoes and onions – we believe you’d choose our location in the Columbia River Basin. It features the perfect combination of sandy loam soils and the nourishing waters of the Columbia and Snake rivers as they flow toward the Pacific Ocean. Add in ample sunshine that provides a long growing season, and there is no better place.
We are passionate about creating a more sustainable agriculture industry and work tirelessly toward that goal.
You hear the words “family farm” all the time. That’s not what we are, but we do have a farm of families. Much of our workforce has been with us for 10 years or more, and some are multi-generational AgriNorthwest employees. Numerous employees have retired after working here all their lives. AgriNorthwest’s large size allows team members to interact with and learn from many others who share their passion for agriculture. Camaraderie and meaningful relationships are often cited as things that make working at AgriNorthwest fulfilling.
We grow potatoes, onions, corn, sweet corn, carrots, peas, and wheat at scale while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. Our secret? The melding of hard work and accountability with collaboration and innovation, all in a relentless pursuit of improvement in everything we do.
All our food comes from our own farms, and the fields are inspected before planting, during the growing season, and at harvest.
Our work has evolved over the decades. The small-farm values of our early days live on, and our farmers are out in the fields every day. Now, however, they are aided by sophisticated technology in boosting efficiency, quality, and production to new levels. Using thermal imagery from a drone to examine drip irrigation, satellite imagery to create maps that accurately portray vine health, and the same tools to predict dry down in the corn fields so that harvest order can be planned are all part of our new normal.
Along with farmers and their support teams, we also boast an agronomy lab, IT, HR, marketing, legal, and finance departments, as well as experts in food safety, water, and land. One of our earliest goals – to provide meaningful long-term opportunities for current and future employees – remains as important to us as ever.
Our employees are the heart of our organization – hardworking, innovative individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
